Water

Water is needed by every living thing, from the smallest of bacteria to the largest of animals.

Water maintains all life in an ecosystem. Water helps plants perform photosynthesis and transport nutrients and minerals from the soil. For a plant, It goes up through the leaves, and the water goes back into the air called transpiration. Animals use the water to stay hydrated and perform important functions like digestion and temperature control. The soil soaks up lots of water which is why Bee Crossing is a marshy area. In fact, there’s a small spring nearby that keeps the water flowing.
